Season 5
“Bury Your Dead,” the season’s first episode shows Tony almost getting killed.
When Jeanne discovered he was a spy to get to her father, La Grenouille, she wrote Tony a letter saying that she is ending things between them. This broke Tony’s heart. Because Jeanne wanted revenge, she tries to get a hold of Tony.
The season was shortened because of the writer’s strike and only ended up only having eighteen episodes.
The season finale ran for two hours. NCIS Director Jenny Shepard dies. Tony and McGee are transferred to another mission. Ziva is ordered to go home. Gibbs gives files to the three new team members. Leon Vance replaces Jenny’s position.
