Season 2
The regular cast of the series increases in number. Mark Harmon, Shana Alexander, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette and David McCallum are the newcomers. This season not only tells stories about dealing with criminals such as kidnappers, rapists, murderers and the like, it also gives viewers a peek of Leroy Jethro and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard’s past.
For the first time, Ducky’s ninety-six year old mother is introduced. (In real life, Nina Foch is only eighty years old, therefore making her only nine years older than her on-screen son, David McCallum.)
Because of the events that happened in the world, it is expected that the series would somehow present situations regarding the Iraq War and the chaos in the Middle East.
