“NCIS” Blackout

Submitted on December 2, 2009 No Comment

The “NCIS” episode of a “black out” situation is a different experience, not only for viewers, but also for its cast. This situation reveals how a crime scene is affected during a total”black out” occurrence. Many facets of life are stopped by a power outage; however law enforcement must continue its work, so that criminals will not get the upper hand. “NCIS” demonstrates these steps needed, in a case, such as this.

NCIS

This episode can be compared to a “Barney Miller” 1970 cop show, where nothing is working quite right. Michael Weatherly who portrays Tony DiNuzzo reveals that producer, Mark Harmon, enjoys reproducing 1970’s type situations. No computers are available, so in a humorous note, Tony pretends that McGee , played by Sean Murray, is a computer. When McGee is clicked, he must reveal all information. This little bit of humor lightens the mood to some degree, and catches its audience by surprise.
