NCIS is a police procedural drama series which revolves around the story of a fictional team of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service or NCIS. Donald Bellisario is the creator and executive producer of the show which premiered on CBS back in 2003.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service team performs investigations of cases which involves the U.S. Navy and also the Marines. The team’s headquarters is located in Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. All crimes which are punishable under the code of Uniform Code of Military Justice is investigated by the team. Most of the cases handed over the team are high profile cases like for instance a bombing situation in a U.S. Navy warship or a death of a military aide who works for the U.S. president. There are even celebrity deaths, kidnappings and even terrorist threats.
Starring Mark Harmon as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, he leads the team of NCIS. Included in the team are Special Agent Timothy McGee, played by Sean Murray; Senior Field Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly; Probationary Special Agent Ziva David, portrayed by Cote de Pablo; and Caitlin “Kate” Todd, played by Sasha Alexander.
Also starring are David McCallum as the Chief Medical Examiner named Donald “Ducky” Mallard; Brian Dietzen as Medical Assistant Jimmy Palmer and Pauley Perrette as Forensice Specialist Abigail ‘Abby” Sciuto.
