NCIS Plot Summary

The brainchild of Donald P. Bellisario, NCIS reveals the way this government agency functions. NCIS is a governmental organization that investigates every crime associated with the Navy and the Marine Corps and has the authority to question and take necessary steps against any personnel involved, irrespective of his/her rank and position. A few of the things they deal in are murder, espionage, terrorism and stolen arms. The special agents have a global access towards everything necessary to solve any crime that involves the Navy or Marine Corps.

The team is lead by Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a Special Agent; his skilled investigating instincts have made him a smart and tough interrogator as well. Bending any set rules depends on how desperate he is on his case and Special Agent Tony DiNozzo thus makes a perfect assistant to him. DiNozzo was a homicide detective formerly and his street-instincts are a big help to Leroy.

The duo is joined by a dark witted and Gothic Abby Sciuto (forensics specialist) and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (a medical examiner) besides special agent Tim McGee, a real fleet-fingered operator on the computers. Others joining the team are special agent Caitlin “Kate” Todd (former USSS agent), Mossad Agent Ziva David (who replaces Kate) and a new director, Jenny Shepard, who loses her post to Leon Vance later.

Re-watching NCIS

If the above plot gets you interested, then you have the chance to see all the episodes right from the first one. For avid followers of NCIS, this news may come as a sweet surprise (or a pleasant shock; you decide), for there are many out there who still regret missing the most turning-point sequences. The secret is: NCIS episodes are now being made available as downloadable video files individually; however, for those who missed out on entire seasons or those who haven’t watched NCIS earlier, the news of downloading an entire season’s episodes in a single video file may just speak accolades.

This has been the best way so far to catch up on missed episodes; doing some recaps and knowing in advance some unreleased stuff. NCIS is known for its wining formula that keeps us coming back for more. Case in point is this Tuesday’s episode, “Mother’s Day.” NCIS will bring Allison Hart (Rena Sofer) a very straight talking lawyer back and promises to keep her around for many episodes to come. Plus, Gibbs former mother-in-law Joann (Gena Rowlands) shows up as a witness in a murder investigation.

Despite ourselves, as we chomp at the bit for the very dislikable lawyer Allison Hart, the on screen chemistry begs the question. Is there the possibility of some romance between Hart and Gibbs (Mark Harmon)? Or is there a twist waiting around the corner that we won’t see until it slaps us in the face. Even the cast, when asked, are unsure where they will end up with their characters. The emphases this session seems to be focused on a deeper understanding of their characters and families. Yes once again they know what it takes to keep us watching.

Executive producer of NCIS Shane Brennan, talks a little about this week’s episode. This will “set in motion a chain of events that forces Gibbs to make a life-changing decision,” He further adds that this “will impact every member of his team.” Makes you wonder if this has to do with any of the hints Brennan has given us about the powerful season 7 final. “I’m a great believer in planning it out and knowing where we’re going to land,” He went on to say: “The audience has already seen some of the elements – we’ve already started the finale in a way. You won’t see it in every episode, but we’ll tease it out. It’ll be surprising, and this year it’s going to be controversial.” We are sure its going to be interesting judging by last season’s finale which was a nail biter to say the least.
